When does a heat pump really pay off?
- If you heat with electricity or natural gas
- If you have a house with low heat loss
With a heat pump, you can save up to half of your annual heat costs on average. Although the initial costs of a heat pump will be slightly higher compared to gas boilers, the operating costs will be significantly lower.
If you live in a house from which only a small amount of heat escapes, costs can be reduced to a minimum with the help of a heat pump.

When is a heat pump not worth it?
- If you heat with solid fuels
- If you have a house with a large heat loss
Heating with solid fuels can still be a bit more profitable than heating and preparing water with a heat pump, however, according to the current wording of the Air Protection Act, from 1 September 2024 it will only be possible to operate solid fuel boilers in emission class 3, 4 or 5. Older , no longer satisfactory boilers will need to be replaced with another heat source.
If you live in a house with a large heat loss, it would be more advantageous for you to insulate the house first or at least replace the old windows first. Only this way you will be able to reduce heat loss and purchasing a heat pump will make sense from an economic point of view.
How much does a heat pump save compared to electricity and a gas boiler?
A heat pump can save approximately 45 - 55 % from the total running costs of the house.
As an example of price savings, it is possible to show the following situation a price comparison with the total payments for the year:
Service
It goes without saying that regular annual service and maintenance of your heat pump is provided.
This is the only way to guarantee that there will be no need for additional investments in the event of a breakdown of this device after the standard period has expired
statutory warranty periods.
A regular inspection of the heat pump brings a number of advantages - it increases the operability of the appliance, saves operating costs and minimizes the impact on the environment.
The inspection is provided by professionally trained service companies with the appropriate authorization
